(Hasan) *Some of the editions say: "Abu Abdur-Rahman said" as if it were An-Nasai, but that is a mistake as seen in the version of this Hadith recorded by Ahmad (3:408), Sunan Al-Kubra by An-Nasai, Tuhfat Al-Ashraf (9:286-287) and the biography of Abu Jafar in Tahdhib Al-Kamal. And this Abdur-Rahman is Ibn Mahdi, from whom Ahmad narrated it, and Al-Mizzi showed that this Abu Jafar is Abu Jafar Al-Farra'.
